Costume Craziness!!!

Little Sassy Molassy was going to be a "cowgirl" for Halloween. She was going to wear this, but she decided she needed a horse. Not a stick pony, not a fake horse, but a "real horse that moves and stuff".
"Well sorry, buying a horse isn't very high on my priority list. Your brothers eat like horses, you can trick or treat with them. "
"maaaah-ommmmmmm a REAL horse"

I haven't stumbled upon a real horse yet, so last week we had a party to go to. She didn't want to be a cowgirl without the real horse. I told her to be a cheerleader.
"That's not a costume. I am already a real cheerleader"
(Then why the real horse? How about a pretend real horse? GEEZ! Now you know where the "sassy" comes from.)
"I got an idea mom...wait here"
Uh oh. Lets see, we have about 10 princess costumes, 2 tubs of other costumes, what could she be doing up there?

Yeah, I know "what is that?" you are asking. At the party someone guessed "mom didn't do laundry" as the costume. I was a little perplexed myself. She is a

Cheerleading Cowgirl!

Yes, I know that isn't a "real" costume. I didn't feel like arguing. Some things are easier to just leave alone. She was very happy with the way she looked.

I took pictures so when she is older she can remember her choice for her 8th year. But halloween is around the corner, and she really made a cute cowgirl. All she needs is a horse. So I caved, I did what every good mom would do...I acquired a horse....

HEY! Wrangler is "Real" she "moves and stuff" and that is what Sassy requested (read back to the top :) What fun would it be to have a real horse because you know, it is already a real horse and so it wouldn't need a costume.

(Time for a quick commercial - Wrangler has found the lettuce in the garden. She would not eat the lettuce when I gave it to her on a plate. I tried many varieties. She would not eat shredded carrots. Apparently she prefers "fresh" vegetables.)

I had Wrangler practice being a horse. I want to make sure when Sassy gets home from school, Wrangler can demonstrate what a good horse she can be with the right costume.
I will let you know what Sassy says later.
