Spring is in the Air

Spring arrived this week. Well, maybe it was last week, but it is here. Monday was beautiful, so we spent time cleaning out the garden. Some of the lettuce had gotten WAY out of control, so it got trimmed and shared with the neighbors. The watering got adjusted, and I picked up the peas that I thought had frozen, but the freeze just weakened them and caused them to fall over.

The tomatos, cucumbers, watermelons and cantaloupe are planted, and the carrots are ready to eat. We planted some more carrots and I hope they come up quick.

Carrots have been a great after school snack.

This was my favorite thing. This big teacup with these pretty flowers.
It is the "peaceful" spot where I can watch humming birds and butterflies once the plants start waking up. We have two little lady bugs living in the hanging baskets. I hope they stay. They look very happy so far!
