When I was starting to make salsa, I asked my oldest child to go get something out of the pantry, and to help put away the groceries I had brought home. He decided that even though the pantry was clean, it wasn't organized very well. I had been putting the cereal away based on when I bought it to use the older cereal first.
He thought it should be by type of cereal. He also thought the big spice containers should be by type of container, not by what I use the most.
He wanted to label the shelves, but I explained that while we have LOTS of crackers right now and the vegetable pile is dwindling, that will change as the sales cycle through, so it would be hard to do labels.
The best improvement was his going through the tupperware containers and organizing the modular mates all together.
And straightening up the shelves with wrap/foil/baggies and the cleanins supply shelf!
