If you don't live here, you might not ever experience a Haboob . We get them several times each Monsoon season, but who knew it was gonna turn out like it did?
This was when we first returned home, you could see the dust coming up from the south. Notice the dust is sorta white
When it first arrived, the dust was still pretty "white", sandy and "clean". But as it picked up more dust from our county....
This was the result.
Poor big fluffy was outside...he ran for cover. It was just too bad to go out to find him in. It sounded like pea gravel was being shot at the house.
So visibility was about 2 feet off the back porch
Maybe 20' here. You can see my Handsome trying to get the shade screens up, they were blowing into the house and we didn't want them crashing through the picture windows.
The red dirt and not being able to see anything around us was pretty creepy.
If you aren't from around here, check out this. They did a pretty cool video.
